SHANNON GILROY, DPT

Shannon Gilroy graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in Sociology. She became a certified crossfit trainer and worked as an aide at Island Sports Physical Therapy East Meadow where she found her true passion. She applied and was accepted to Touro College where she graduated in 2021 with a BS in health science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Shannon started her career at a traumatic brain injury and stroke facility. There she gained experience treating patients with various acute and chronic neurological conditions.

Shannon joined Island Sports Physical Therapy to give back to the community where she grew up. Being from an athletic family of ten children Shannon knows all too well what it takes to live a healthy lifestyle, keep your body in good condition, and recover from various injuries. She hopes to use her knowledge and experience to help her patients achieve their goals.

Take Turnpike to Merrick Avenue (Located Just East of the Meadowbrook Parkway). Take Merrick Avenue South approximately 2 miles to the fork in the road. We are located on the left hand side, just before the fork, in the shopping center. Our office is located inside The Fitness Club.

Take the Meadowbrook Parkway South to Hempstead Turnpike East. At first light (Merrick Avenue), Make a right. We are approximately 2 miles on the left hand side, just before the fork in the road, in the shopping center. Our office is located inside The Fitness Club.

Take L.I.E. to the Northern State Parkway East. Take the Northern State Parkway to the Meadowbrook Parkway South and follow directions from Meadowbrook Parkway above.
